Easy Money Making? Is There Such A Thing Really???

In this post, I’m going to try to focus your minds on ways you can go about starting your own business so that you’ve got the best chance to succeed straight off the bat.

This post is essentially a primer to affiliate marketing. If you are already fully aware of the power it can bring your business regarding online market research amongst other things, there really is no need for you to read on.

Over the past two posts I’ve discussed how the marketing of niche products can help you acheive this end of not only starting your own business and giving it the best possible chance of success you can, but also by ensuring your competitor levels remain low.

There is a course out now that can teach you all you need to know about the world of marketing niche products, and that course is Niche Blueprint 2.0.

The only reason I’m mentioning it here in this post is because the $200 discount on it ends at midnight tonight.

The real purpose of this post is to address another way for you to enter the world of online business… affiliate marketing.

In a past blog post on affiliate marketing, I mentioned that affiliate marketing may very well be the best way for you to go about starting your own business as it has the potential to teach you a lot about the market you are going to enter, and also the uncanny ability to ensure you don’t actually need to spend money on things you would otherwise be required to.

In that last point made above, I am of course referring to the fact that you don’t actually need a website, a hosting account, or an email autoresponder to succeed with your affiliate marketing efforts.

They do help though!

Looking back at the other point I brought up, starting your own business as an affiliate in your chosen market can teach you a great deal about that market without burdening you with headaches such as product creation and customer support.

All of those things are done for you by the people you are an affiliate for.

The true power of affiliate marketing comes into play once you use your affiliate marketing efforts to sell niche products. It is this combination that is the closest thing I have found to an easy money making opportunity.

Let me clarify something before we continue… in my opinion, there is no such thing as an easy money making opportunity. The ease with which you actually make money through your own efforts is directly related to the amount of effort you put in in the first place.

With reference to that point, let me now play devils’ advocate for a while. If what I’ve just said is true, what benefits are there to starting out as an affiliate? If effort is required to succeed in anything, why not just start out with your own product straight away?

Well, you could do. You may even succeed with it. It certainly isn’t impossible to do so. The main reason I suggest starting out as an affiliate first is simply to learn all you can about the market you intend to enter before you enter it with your own product.

Just as I said before, affiliate marketing can teach you a great deal about a market.

It can teach you about…

  • The number of customers in your market.
  • The amount of money these customers have.
  • How much they are actually willing to spend?
  • What the markets’ average customer looks like; ( Are they male or female? What age are they?)
  • Do the customers in that market need the products on offer, or do they just want them?

… and so on.

I hope I’ve given you something to mull over here. Are you going to go about starting your own business by jumping in the deep end straight away, or are you going to get some practice in first in the shallow end; (the shallow end being a terrible metaphor for affiliate marketing).

Just remember… whether or not you intend on starting out as an affiliate first, do your utmost to find a niche market that you can operate in.

If you find the right niche market, you can enter immediately with low competition numbers and a high level of passionate customers ready and willing to snap-up what you are selling to them.

Whichever path you choose to take, rest assured that there is no right or wrong way to go about starting your own business.

Let me now wrap up this post by wishing you all the best with whatever you choose to do next.

The next post (which should be ready by Wednesday) will discuss the various affiliate marketing networks you can sign up to in order to boost your knowledge of the market you intend to enter. See you then.
