How To Succeed With Affiliate Marketing – RECAP

Today’s post is going to be a quick recap of the post I wrote last Friday.

There are two reasons for this…

That post was a bit long winded;
I’ve set today aside to check through my business accounts.

Without holding out any more, here’s the basic rundown of what I’d do if I were to start out in the world of affiliate marketing today.

Conduct thorough online market research to find a niche market that has the potential to be profitable.
Sign up to certain affiliate marketing networks that offer products within the niche market found.
Choose a selection of the products available at these affiliate marketing networks within the niche market you’ve found that are competing against each other, or are complimentary to each other.
Develop a review site for this niche market that will give you the chance to be seen as an authority in that market.
Either buy or test the products you are going to review before you review them. This honesty will be transparent to those that read your reviews. This allows you to develop your own unique style much easier than if you were trying to review the product without having any experience of it.
Be honest with your reviews. Even if a certain product offers you thousands of dollars commission, if it isn’t good, don’t say it is! People will stop trusting your opinion!
Add video to your mix of marketing methods. Write the reviews, then film your experience with the product; (another reason why it is important to actually buy or test the products before you review them).
Add your affiliate links to the end of all of your reviews.
Allow comments on your reviews. This could help boost your sites credibility, (therefore helping you make more money).

Just remember that when you are writing these reviews, try your best to optimize them for the keywords you found when conducting your online market research for that niche market; (whilst also ensuring these keywords don’t make the sentence un-readable).

Optimizing for the product name is also a good marketing strategy in this instance.

You’ll definately want to show up in the search engines for the name of the product you’re reviewing as it would only be searched by those people actually interested in buying that product.

If they’re already interested in buying it, and your review is found by them, who do you think will get the commission for the sale?

I’ll now end this post the same way I ended the longer version, by saying that if you find affiliate marketing networks that don’t mind you advertising others on the same website as you’ve got their links, adding some form of price comparison to your reviews of the products you review will help you out even more.

After all, this is a research factor that the consumer will be able to avoid doing themselves as you’ve done the work for them and told them which product is cheapest.

Have fun with this simple yet effective model, and take your time with it.

Depending on the market you are looking to enter, it could take a few years to actually build up the credibility required to make any real money.
